RFA’s mission is to use research as the basis for improving educational opportunities and outcomes for traditionally underserved and marginalized students. They conduct culturally responsive and equity-focused research and evaluation studies to inform policymakers, practitioners, philanthropy, and the public at local, state, and national levels.
Teacher mobility is the movement of teachers between schools, or the decision to leave the teaching profession. In an effort to raise awareness around teacher mobility, these illustrations were created for RFA’s social media and website. The left illustration depicts a teacher leaving a school and the students still behind wondering. The right shows an educator teaching a lesson to their students.
The RFA TeachIn explored efforts toward diversifying the teacher workforce through speakers and printed materials. "The Need for More Teachers of Color" was the headline of the event, and the graphic above was used on the speaker's podium and as the cover of an informational booklet.
